As a gmp services web hosting client you have not only a website but also email. The links (see top of page) below the navigation are links to instruct you on how to set up your email using various email applications. You can also use a web browser to access your email via our web mail interface.

  • Retail applications support is only via our support forum located here, please do not call and ask for technical support, you will be directed to use our online support forum.
  • Tech Support hours are 8 AM to 6 PM (EST) Monday through Saturday.
  • NOTE that we do not accept email from mail servers that do not have a reverse PTR record in DNS.

  • GMP Services offers an alternative SMTP port (outgoing email) for our hosting users that are being forced to send email through their ISP's mail servers rather than their own domain mail server.

gmp services maintains the highest level of security and constantly monitors for problems. All web servers are behind a firewall and monitored via an Intrusion detection system that thwarts attacks and hack attempts. All our shared hosting servers have anti-virus software installed and are constantly updated.

gmp services also provides Anti-Virus email scanning (incoming and outgoing) as well as Anti-Spam filtering to ensure that you receive little or no Spam from the Internet. Just a few of the many perks we offer to clients.

  • gmp services DOES NOT accept mail from email servers that do not have a reverse (PTR) DNS record or if the reverse PTR record is mis-configured (originating IP address doesn't match the reverse PTR record).
  • gmp services uses SPF (sender policy framework) on our mail servers and we also maintain SPF records for each domain that we host that uses our email services.
  • gmp services also uses Spam Assassin and SURBL to scan incoming email for spam.
  • gmp services also uses several real-time block lists (RBL) to help prevent incoming junkmail.
  • gmp services scans and filters e-mail attachments to prevent our clients from becoming infected with viruses or Trojan programs.
  • User executable attachments are stripped from incoming and outgoing email messages (the message still gets delivered but with no executable attached).
  • gmp services DOES NOT tolerate any form of spam, see our acceptable use policy for details. As a hosting client you are responsible for your users email practices and by hosting with gmp services you are legally bound to our AUP.
